A high-speed rail that would go through Visalia! Exciting. Who ever made this map is stupid because they misspelled Tulare. Yes that's right it's spelled Tulare not Telare. Hopefully whoever made this map will have nothing to do with the development of the high-speed rail system.

Try this map: http://www.cahighspeedrail.ca.gov/map.htm. Tulare is spelled correctly.
I do love the idea of high speed rail, but recently the head honchos gave a presentation on the project for employees on my agency, and I have to say I was not impressed. There were a number of questions that came up that they could not satisfactorily answer--questions regarding safety, regarding right of way issues with freight rail, etc.
I hope they manage to get them worked out. But after 2.5 years working for the Governator, I'm a little jaded when it comes to State government's ability to address problems.
But yes, it's totally cool that it would go through Visalia! :)
